As we all age, the skin on our bodies becomes thin and lax, losing the firmed toned look of youth. The Accent XL radiofrequency therapy can bring back that fresh appearance. Using selective dermal heating, Accent XL stimulates the production of collagen and improves skin surface texture. The Accent XL can be used to treat loose sagging skin anywhere on the body, including the face, abdomen, thighs, chest, thighs and upper arms. How it works:
During treatment the Accent XL precisely heats an area of the inner layer of skin while simultaneously cooling the outer layer of skin. As the inner layer is heated, a natural reaction occurs, promoting the creation of new collagen. In the case of cellulite, it changes the shape of fat cells and shrinks and remodels the connective tissue that forms this unsightly condition. Depending on the size of the treated area, the procedure may take up to 45 minutes. The heating action causes the deep structures of the skin to tighten. The Accent XL is a second generation radiofrequency device which is an improvement over the original Accent model. Many patients are noticing an improvement in their body silhouette even after one treatment with the Accent XL.
What to expect:
Most people tolerate Accent XL treatments well and have little or no discomfort. Patients often describe the sensation as a “warm massage”. Following treatment you can immediately resume all routine activities. You may notice slight redness, which should disappear in a few hours. Generally, three to six treatments at two to four week intervals are recommended. Accent XL treatments can be combined with Lipodissolve for resistant fat deposits and to tighten the overlying skin for synergistic effect.
