What is BOTOX®?
BOTOX® is a prescription neuromodulator containing a purified form of botulinum toxin type A. It is administered in small, carefully selected amounts by a qualified medical professional. Before treatment, the provider evaluates facial movement, muscle activity, medical history, previous injectable treatments, and individual suitability.
How Does the Treatment Work
Neuromodulators temporarily reduce communication between selected nerves and muscles at the treatment site. This limits the strength of specific muscle contractions for a period of time. The dose, placement, and treatment pattern are individualized by the medical provider to reflect the patient’s anatomy, natural movement, and consultation goals.
Is the Treatment Safe?

Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling, bruising, headache, skin tightness, or localized muscle weakness may occur. Less commonly, eyelid drooping, facial asymmetry, vision changes, or other effects may require further assessment.

Contact the clinic if symptoms are unexpected, persistent, or worsening. Seek immediate medical attention for difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing, widespread muscle weakness, or signs of a serious allergic reaction.
