He has presented papers throughout the world at the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Canadian Society of Phlebology, the Aesthetics Show, Orlando Dermatology and Aesthetic Conference, and the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery – just to name a few!

When Dr. Braun isn’t busy bringing beauty into the world or educating on aesthetic practices, he tries to make time for his favourite activity in the world – skiing! What’s on his bucket list? To go skiing in Japan’s Kurodake in Hokkaido.

Dr. Charles Wong is a highly skilled injector at Vancouver Laser & Skin Care Centre and he is the only one that sacrifices his Saturdays to offering wrinkle relaxing injections to the clients of Vancouver. Dr. Wong’s calm demeanour and friendly personality have built lasting relationships with both his clients and his team members.

Dr. Wong completed his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia followed by his medical degree in 2011. After finishing his residency at the University of Alberta for family medicine he moved back to Vancouver and entered the medical aesthetic field in 2018.

With numerous accreditations in facial aesthetics training and years hands on experience, Dr. Wong has earned a place with the dream team at Vancouver Laser & Skin Care Centre and we honoured to have him on our team.

When Dr. Wong isn’t working you will probably find him either cooking up a storm or hanging out with Oreo, his dog.

Dr. Kelli has a passion for enhancing natural beauty through advanced techniques and brings a professional, client-focused approach to medical aesthetics.

Dr. Kelli completed her undergraduate studies and medical school in the United States before returning home to British Columbia to pursue residency training at the University of British Columbia.

With a strong foundation in medicine and a keen eye for detail, Dr. Kelli has developed a passion for medical aesthetics as a way to help patients feel confident and empowered. Dr. Kelli’s approach emphasizes enhancing each individual’s favourite features to bring out their natural beauty, with a focus on safety, subtlety, and personalized care.

Dr. Sally is a highly trained aesthetic physician and vascular surgeon known for her calm presence, meticulous technique, and genuine care for every client she meets. Raised in Vancouver after moving from South Korea as a child, she cultivated her entire academic journey at UBC — completing her pharmacology degree, medical school, and residency training before becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.

Alongside her surgical work at Richmond Hospital, Dr. Sally brings her passion for aesthetics to Vancouver Laser, where she blends artistry with deep medical expertise. She listens attentively to each client’s goals and believes in enhancing natural beauty by highlighting one’s unique strengths. Her philosophy centers on subtle, harmonious results that empower clients to feel confident in their own skin.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Sally enjoys exploring Vancouver’s food scene, staying active with fun workout classes, cozy nights in with her favourite shows, and travelling — especially returning to Korea to visit family. Warm, skilled, and detail-oriented, Dr. Sally offers an aesthetic experience rooted in authenticity, precision, and heartfelt care.

James Leung, MD is a world renowned Taiwanese internist and gastroenterologist. With over 40 years of medical experience in the application and research of disease prevention and personal health management, James Leung is one of the leading Functional Medicine pioneers. After graduating from the Department of Medicine at the Taipei Medical University in 1979, he soon found his passion for Functional Medicine becoming the first doctor in Taiwan to publish a research article examining “fatty liver” disease. In 2003 James Leung was the first Chinese specialist to gain the American Board-Certified Anti-Aging Physician certification and to this day remains the founder of Asian Functional Medicine and the dean of “EUREKA Taipei International Functional Medicine and Healthy Aging Center” in Taipei, Taiwan. James Leung integrates cutting-edge and innovative medical analysis with tangible preventative and corrective solutions to optimize your health in the most natural way.

Dr. Rachel Skocylas is a medical doctor specializing in precision health, with a strong focus on functional and integrative medicine. She completed her medical training at UBC and the University of Toronto, and holds board certification in obesity medicine through the ABOM. Currently pursuing an Integrative Medicine Fellowship at the University of Arizona, Dr. Rachel takes a root-cause, systems-based approach—using advanced tools to assess health status and guide personalized, preventative care that empowers patients to take charge of their wellness.

Dr. Maggie Zhou joins R·MEDYᴹᴰ with a strong background in internal medicine and a special interest in obesity, lifestyle medicine, endocrinology, and hematologic conditions. She completed her BSc at the University of Waterloo, MD at the University of Toronto, and internal medicine residency at UBC. Dr. Zhou holds hospital privileges at MSJ and Richmond General, and is available to see REH patients for all internal medicine referrals.

Shandalla feels the healing arts chose her. She initially worked as a massage therapist and acupuncturist in natural medicine for several years before becoming a Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner. She holds two Master of Science degrees, multiple certifications, and has over 20 years of healthcare experience. She uses a patient centered, versatile approach to caring for her patients drawing upon a variety of knowledge to provide excellent care for everyone she works with.
