You will meet with a professional aesthetic consultant to discuss the tattoo you want treated, your goals, and whether Tattoo Removal is the right fit based on the ink, location, and treatment history.
Tattoo Assessment
Before treatment begins, your provider reviews the size, colour, age, and depth of the tattoo, along with your skin tone and any previous treatment, so the laser plan can be adjusted appropriately.
Picosecond Laser Treatment
PicoWay® is used to deliver ultra short pulses of light that break tattoo ink into tiny fragments. Ice packs and cooling support may be used to help make treatment more comfortable.
Recovery Guidance
After treatment, you will receive instructions on keeping the area clean, hydrated, and protected while redness, swelling, scabbing, blistering, or patchy fading settle over the following days.
What is PicoWay®?
PicoWay® is an advanced picosecond laser used for Tattoo Removal. It delivers ultra short pulses of light that create a photoacoustic effect, breaking tattoo ink into tiny fragments that the body can gradually eliminate. It is commonly chosen for fast, precise tattoo fading across many colours and skin types.
How Does the Treatment Work
Tattoo Removal works by directing PicoWay® picosecond laser energy into the ink beneath the skin. That energy breaks the pigment into much smaller particles without burning the surrounding skin. Over time, the body’s natural healing process clears those fragments, which is why the tattoo fades gradually over repeated sessions.
Is the Treatment Safe?
Tattoo Removal is generally well tolerated when performed by trained providers using settings that are appropriate for your tattoo, skin tone, and treatment history.
A consultation helps determine whether your skin is suitable for treatment and whether recent sun exposure may affect timing. Temporary redness, swelling, blistering, scabbing, bruising, and itchiness can happen as the area heals.
Expected Patchy Fading
Tattoos usually fade unevenly during the process. Patchy lightening is common and often reflects differences in ink depth, colour, and how the laser was passed over the area.
Healing Can Be Visible
Warmth, redness, swelling, itchiness, scabbing, and blisters can happen after treatment. These effects are part of the normal healing process and may take 1 to 2 weeks to settle.
Sun Protection Matters
Because tattoo removal targets pigment, the skin should be at its natural colour before treatment. Avoiding sun exposure before and after treatment helps support safer treatment and more even healing.
