How many DP4 Microneedling Treatments will I need?

It is recommended to have a minimum of 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart for the most effective results. Maintenance treatments can be repeated as often as desired.

Is the DP4 Microneedling treatment painful?

As with any treatment at Vancouver Laser & Skin Care Centre, a variety of comfort measures are available. Numbing cream is not needed, but can be applied prior to the treatment to ensure a comfortable experience.

 

What will my skin look like after treatment?

Your skin will likely be red and feel warm similar to a sunburn. This feeling should subside over the next 24 hours with possible residual redness that can last for up to 7 days. You may feel a sandpaper-like texture on the skin and there is a possibility that your face will show a grid like stamping effect, this will naturally slough off over the next 7 days.

How long should it take before I see results?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting, more significant results, will become visible after 3-6 treatments. The condition of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments from collage production.
Do I need to do anything after my treatment?

As a rule of thumb after any treatment in our clinic you must wear a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Cleanse with a gentle cleanser (we love ZO Gentle Cleanser) if you have flaking or peeling do not pick or exfoliate and avoid the use of products containing retinol or acid for at least 5 days.
